Hotel barge holidays are really a rather special and unique holiday experience. Imagine a small quality hotel afloat on a barge or narrowboat and combine this with meandering along canals in beautiful countryside as this is what it is all about. I genuinely felt like a swan floating along the canal as we enjoyed all the lovely scenery and all the time listening to the frogs croaking, watch the fish jumping and just enjoying the tranquillity all around. A hotel barge will offer fully serviced accommodation with truly superb meals cooked on board. There are many single cabins, usually without supplement, and a few doubles or twins. The smallest barge is perfect for just two of you and the largest is Croisi Europe’s fleet which can take a total 22 people if all 11 cabins are full.   If you have ever thought you might like this holiday concept, please make sure you do, as it is such a wonderful experience.
